Hashimotos and the Start of my Health Journey

About 8 years ago I was diagnosed with an auto immune disease called Hashimotos Thyroiditis. I remember the time when I found out. I was concerned but I had no idea what it was nor what it did to my body, and it was this problem that sent me on my journey to better health.
I’ve always been an advocate for everything natural but I’ve also been anti medication, so when the doctor straight up prescribed me medication I was reluctant to use it. I initially started taking it until one day shortly after starting I decided to take a more natural approach.

I researched all kinds of diets and all kinds of methods for supposedly fixing my disease but with very little results. My antibodies did in fact rise from my dietary approach, but my TSH levels still increased.

After seeing several doctors and making plenty of excuses, nothing had changed in my health or my mind set until I got married. You see I didn’t think my thyroid issue could actually eventually be the death of me, I just thought it affected my hormones leaving me with low energy levels. Well, when I finally went to the specialist and he gave me my results, and I was shocked.

In Australia, normal healthy thyroid hormone levels are between 0.5 and 5.0, and my levels were so off the charts that my specialist said he was surprise to see me in front of him. My levels were over 500 and the symptoms I was experiencing at the time were called thyrotoxicosis. Basically he said to me if I don’t start taking medication now I won’t last another 10 years.

That was the result I needed to finally give into my all natural approach and start taking prescribed medication. After taking my dose of thyroxine my levels dropped very quickly and I began to lose weight (10kgs in total) and I began to have improved energy levels and feel better overall.

That was 3 years ago!
Now that I’ve been on it for a few years I do still find that my energy levels are low, but now I have a heap of other issues, including high cholesterol and low vitamin D levels. My aim is to still find something that will bring about change for me, something that will hopefully lead me to a place where I can wean off my medication and allow my body to function properly and effectively.
I started taking a new nutritional product that was very easy to use and since then I have had an incredible amount of energy, far more mental clarity. I have deep sleeps and require less than before and the most amazing thing still for me was also the curb in junk food cravings.

I literally cringe at the thought of eating a hamburger or something fatty where before I would have easily chomped into it. So it seems even after a very short time being on it that it has rewired the signals in my body so that I only want to eat good wholesome food.
I have stopped taking coffee regularly, I have zero added sugar to my foods and I’ve lost 4 kilos of that unhealthy toxic fat from around my waist line in 3 weeks, and hopefully my cholesterol levels will have lowered when I go see my doctor next week.
As for my thyroid, I'm hoping to see some positive change and I’ve heard testimonials of people using this product having their TSH count level out, leaving them off their medication. Time will tell and I’ll keep up to date on this issue.

Anyone else have similar issues??
